FAQ

We trust our media agency. Why do we need a media audit?

The investment in buying media space is, for most advertisers, in the range of 60% of their communication budget. The media audit is a process through which the company’s stakeholders ensure that their media money is being properly invested in terms of both efficiency and effectiveness and that the media KPI agreed with the media agency are delivered. Finally, a media audit leads to an increase in the transparency and accountability of the manner in which the media money is invested.

Why do I need a price benchmark audit? I am sure that I got the best pricing in town; I have already checked them with a couple of friends that work for other advertisers.

A relevant price benchmark procedure has to take into account factors such as: size of client’s media budget, size of reference pool, time of the year, and time slots (for TV) for the analysis. If you do not have enough friends with comparable media budgets invested in the same media vehicles as yourself, you may risk jumping to the wrong conclusions.

Why should I appoint you as a consultant for my media pitch?

For two reasons. Firstly, if you are not a seasoned media planner and/or buyer, there is a strong chance that you will choose an offer that is not adapted to your marketing and communication needs. The best offer is not necessarily the one with the lowest quote; low costs may sometimes hide traps.

Secondly, we can save you a lot of time. We help to clearly formulate your requirements and put them in a coherent brief and then help you to make an agency shortlist for your pitch, as per your needs. We analyse the offers submitted and interpret them for you and help you to implement all commitments made in the contract with the pitch winner.
